More Odds of Winning

Another online sports book has posted odds for Survivor Guatemala.

Survivor: Guatemala Odds (from sportsbook.com)

Gary 9-2,        Brooke 10-1
Brandon 6-1,        Jamie 10-1
Danni 6-1,        Morgan 10-1
Amy 7-1,        Jim 12-1
Cindy 7-1,        Judd 15-1
Blake 8-1,        Brianna 18-1
Brian 8-1,        Lydia 20-1
Rafe 8-1,        Margaret 20-1

Differences with the other odds that I posted:
1. Gary, the ex-NFL QB, is the only favorite (other he shared that spot with Danni).
2. Blake is more of a favorite (other 15-1).
3. Judd is a longer shot (other 10-1).
4. Rafe is also a longer shot (other 4-1).

For the record, the previous odds that I posted were from Bodog.com. Please don't misconstrue my posting of odds as promoting gambling. They are posted for fun and insight only.

If you're an adult and chose to gamble then bet with your head and not over it. If you or a loved one have a gambling problem, get help: Gamblers Anonymous . (I'm no expert, but I'd say betting large sums of money on a reality TV show is a sign of a gambling problem.)

Caribbean Joe

RealityTV.com is reporting that Tom Westman, winner of Survivor Palau, has signed on as a spokesperson for clothing maker Caribbean Joe.

I never heard of Caribbean Joe before, so this deal has at least increased my awareness about the company.

Is anyone a big fan of this company? Is this a good fit for Tom?

Two Twists!

I just caught a CBS ad for Survivor Guatemala and it said that there will be two twists on the first episode!

Could those two twists be named Bobby Jon and Stephenie?

If you remember, months ago CBS said there would be 18 contestants on Survivor Guatemala. However when the line-up was announced a few weeks ago there were only 16. Some astute reporters pointed this out to CBS but CBS was quite on the matter.

Only time will tell . . .

Other Survivor News

As we eagerly await Survivor Guatemala, here are some other Survivor related TV shows that you may be interested in.

Survivor Australian Outback

On the Outdoor Life Network (OLN) the first season of Survivor has finished airing and they are now airing the second season - Survivor Australian Outback. Here are a few of the Outback Survivors to jog your memory: Alicia (the infamous finger wagging incident), Elisabeth (would go on to co-host The View), Colby (would go on to do Schick commercials), Keith (the chef), Jerri (would go on to pose in Playboy), Rodger (fear of heights yet jumped off a cliff), Kel (did he sneak beef jerky onto the show?), Kimmi (the vegetarian), Michael (killed a wild pig, fell into a camp fire), Mitchell (very tall) and Maralyn (the oldest, known as Mad Dog).

OLN
airs Survivor Australian Outback several times a day. The "new" repeat is nightly at 7:00 pm. Check the OLN web site for additional times.

Battle of the Network Reality Stars

This reality show started last week on Bravo and four former Survivors are competing. Familiar to Survivor fans should be Richard, Susan and Gervase from the first Survivor. However the fourth one I don't remember. He's Burton from Survivor Pearl Islands.

The Survivors are competing in various sporting events with other reality TV stars (Amazing Race, Big Brother, The Swan, Average Joe, Joe Schmo, Real World, etc.). Points are won over the six weeks of the series and at the end of each show every team (there are four) must vote off a team member. I caught the first show and saw the "Stars" compete in the obstacle course, baseball dunk tank and jousting. Can Circus of the Network Reality Stars be far behind?

Bravo
airs new episodes of Battle of the Network Reality Stars every Wed. at 9 pm / 8 c. Check the Bravo web site for additional times and web exclusive clips from the show.

Kill Reality Update

E! is still airing this reality show. The snappy premise is that you get to watch as a horror movie is being made using just actors from reality TV shows. A few of the Survivors / actors are Johnny Fairplay, Jenna Lewis and Ethan Zahn.

E!
airs new episodes of Kill Reality on Monday at 10:00 pm. Check the E! Online web page for additional times.
