Stephenie & Bobby Jon on Survivor Guatemala?

There are reports that Stephenie and Bobby Jon from Survivor Palau will be on Survivor Guatemala in some capacity.

Allow me to speculate as to how they may be used.

1. As in Survivor Palau, to start off a man and a women will be able to win individual immunity. However Stephenie and Bobby Jon will compete with them and if either of them win the competition then the Survivors don't get immunity.

2. Possibly a group reward is having Stephenie or Bobby Jon compete with their tribe in the immunity challenge. Imagine the choice if they win reward: blankets and food or a rested Stephenie or Bobby Jon to help them win immunity!

3. Once immunity is individual again, Stephenie and/or Bobby Jon compete again as in 1. above or compete for an individual Survivor (won in a reward challenge). Again a choice if an individual wins reward: a luxury night with good food and a warm bed or Stephenie and/or Bobby Jon competing with you for immunity.

4. If Stephenie or Bobby Jon win a competition they take the place of a Survivor and get to compete again. This is a long shot, but it could be like a mini version of All-Star Survivor if one or both of them play into Survivor Guatemala.

5. Stephenie and Bobby Jon get to sit on the jury at tribal council from the very beginning to provide for a more impartial jury. They also get to ask questions at each TC and vote for the final winner.

6. Stephenie and Bobby Jon don't compete at all but provide "expert, inside" commentary. This could be done as little snippets each week before tribal council and on the official Survivor web site (kind of like Big Brother 6's Revenge of the House Guests, where former HGs blog their thoughts about the current BB.)

That's what I've come up with off the top of my head, what do you think?

Former NFL QB on Survivor Guatemala?

I normally don't comment on suspected Survivors this far before a season starts but this story has a little celebrity (very little celebrity) attached to it.

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that Gary Hogeboom (right), a former NFL quarterback, may be a contestant on Survivor Guatemala. He attended Central Michigan University from 1976 to 1979 and played ten seasons in the NFL, the first six with the Dallas Cowboys. He played with two other teams as well. Most of his career he was a back-up quarterback (not that there's anything wrong with that). He turns 47 years of age next month. Family and friends seem to be in non-disclosure mode (lending validity to the story) but some of them say Gary has had a sore shoulder lately which prevents him from playing golf.

Having Gary play Survivor could be interesting. Would he reveal to the others that he's a former professional athlete? If I were him, I wouldn't tell the others. On the other hand, if he's having trouble playing golf what kind of shape is he in?
